Our Story Jose and Annie are the passionate founders of Artificial Grass TX. A family owned business dedicated to transforming spaces, helping families and businesses to create outdoor living into functional and beautiful areas. With combined 23 years of experience in landscaping and artificial turf industry, they bring a lot of knowledge, expertise and creativity to every project.
Jose and Annie are the passionate and visionary owner of Artificial Grass TX. Jose with a background in horticulture and Annie in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico they started their journey in 2002.
Jose and Annie were introduced into the artificial grass industry by his family landscaping business. It was the first local company to install artificial grass in Puerto Rico. Annie obtained a certification in Ports and International Business from the Catholic University in Puerto Rico, where her passion for business was born. They started their own journey in the landscaping business.
Motivated by the economic situation of Puerto Rico they moved to Louisiana with her 2 years daughter with the intention to start the Artificial Grass business. However, the circumstances were not favorable for the business.
Jose worked in the oil field industry for several years and Annie in the mental health in Louisiana and then Houston while they were working in how to start the Artificial Grass business. They decided to work very hard for their passion. Artificial Grass Tx was born in their garage with 4 rolls of turf and some manual tools. After working with a few residential projects, they start quickly to gain a good reputation for the quality job that they do and excellent customer service. Together, they share a vision of creating beautiful, functional, and sustainable outdoor spaces for their customers.
Jose and Annie open their first store with the ability to sell artificial grass products and supplies at a wholesale price.
They decided to start the Turf Academy program a two days hands on training that helps person to learn the tricks and develop skills of installing artificial grass.
